When the temperature exceeds $35^{\circ}C$,the enzymes involved in photosynthesis (such as RuBisCO) begin to denature or lose their efficiency rapidly. Respiration,while also enzymatic,is generally more heat-stable than photosynthesis. Therefore,as temperatures rise significantly above the optimum,the rate of photosynthesis declines much more sharply and rapidly than the rate of respiration.
