(B) Let the Cost Price $(CP)$ be $Rs. 100$.Since the profit earned is $23.5 \%$,the Selling Price $(SP)$ is $Rs. 123.50$.Let the Marked Price $(MP)$ be $x$.Given that a discount of $5 \%$ is offered on the $MP$,the $SP$ is $95 \%$ of $MP$.So,$0.95x = 123.50$.$x = \frac{123.50}{0.95} = 130$.If no discount is offered,the article would be sold at its Marked Price,which is $Rs. 130$.Profit in this case $= SP - CP = 130 - 100 = 30$.Profit percentage $= \frac{30}{100} 	imes 100 = 30 \%$.
