(N/A) Auxin is a generic term for a group of plant growth hormones,primarily indole$-3-$acetic acid $(IAA)$ and other natural and synthetic compounds having growth-regulating properties.
These hormones are synthesized at the shoot and root apices (tips) and are responsible for cell elongation,apical dominance,and various other developmental processes in plants.
