Explain the difference between the following terms:
$(1)$ Oviduct - Infundibulum
$(2)$ Endometrium - Myometrium

(N/A) $(1)$ Oviduct (Fallopian tube): The oviduct is the tube that transports the ovum from the ovary to the uterus.
Infundibulum: It is the funnel-shaped part of the oviduct closest to the ovary,which possesses finger-like projections called fimbriae that help in the collection of the ovum after ovulation.
$(2)$ Endometrium: It is the innermost glandular layer of the uterine wall where implantation of the embryo occurs. It undergoes cyclic changes during the menstrual cycle and is shed if pregnancy does not occur.
Myometrium: It is the thick middle layer of the uterine wall,composed of smooth muscle tissue. It exhibits strong contractions during parturition (childbirth) to facilitate the delivery of the fetus.
