(B) Lacteals are specialized lymphatic capillaries found in the villi of the small intestine.During the process of fat absorption,fatty acids and glycerol are reformed into triglycerides within the intestinal epithelial cells.These triglycerides are then coated with proteins to form water-soluble droplets called chylomicrons.Because chylomicrons are too large to enter the blood capillaries directly,they are transported into the lacteals,which eventually release them into the lymphatic system.
