The reaction of $1$-tetralol with $TsCl$ (p-toluenesulfonyl chloride) in the presence of pyridine converts the hydroxyl group into a good leaving group,the tosylate group $(-OTs)$,forming $1$-tetralyl tosylate as product $(A)$.$2$.
