(A) The reaction involves the nucleophilic substitution of a bromine atom by an ammonia $(NH_3)$ molecule. In the given molecule,there are two bromine atoms: one is a benzylic bromide $(-CH_2Br)$ and the other is an aryl bromide (attached directly to the benzene ring). The benzylic bromide is highly reactive towards nucleophilic substitution ($S_N2$ or $S_N1$ depending on conditions) because the resulting carbocation is resonance-stabilized or the transition state is easily formed. In contrast,the aryl bromide is very unreactive towards nucleophilic substitution due to the partial double bond character of the $C-Br$ bond caused by resonance with the benzene ring. Therefore,the $NH_3$ molecule will selectively attack the benzylic carbon,replacing the $-Br$ group with an $-NH_2$ group to form $2$-bromobenzylamine.
