(C) The reaction of a ketone (cyclohexanone) with a primary amine $(CH_3NH_2)$ in the presence of a mildly acidic catalyst $(pH \ 4.5)$ is a nucleophilic addition-elimination reaction. First,the nucleophilic nitrogen of the amine attacks the electrophilic carbonyl carbon of the ketone to form a hemiaminal intermediate ($1$-(methylamino)cyclohexan$-1-$ol). Under acidic conditions,this intermediate undergoes dehydration (loss of a water molecule) to form an imine ($N$-cyclohexylidenemethanamine). The reaction proceeds as follows: $C_6H_{10}O + CH_3NH_2 \xrightarrow{pH \ 4.5} C_6H_{10}=NCH_3 + H_2O$. Therefore,the final product is $N$-cyclohexylidenemethanamine.
