Why is the use of wood as a fuel not advised although forests can be replenished?

(N/A) Wood is a renewable source of energy. However,a tree usually takes more than $15$ years to mature. Thus,replenishment of wood takes a long time. Felling of trees on a large scale also causes depletion of forest leading to environmental imbalance. Also,the calorific value of wood is low and it causes significant air pollution. Therefore,the use of wood as fuel is not advisable.
