(N/A) Bicephalic ribs: Each rib has two articulation surfaces on its dorsal side,hence it is known as a bicephalic rib.
$(b)$ True ribs: The first $7$ pairs of ribs are called true ribs. Dorsally,they are attached to the thoracic vertebrae,and ventrally,they are connected to the sternum by hyaline cartilage.
$(c)$ Floating ribs: The last $2$ pairs of ribs ($11^{th}$ and $12^{th}$ pairs) do not articulate ventrally with the sternum,so they are called floating ribs.
