According to $VSEPR$ theory,the total number of electron pairs is $2 + 3 = 5$,which corresponds to $sp^3d$ hybridization and trigonal bipyramidal electron geometry. Due to the presence of $3$ lone pairs in the equatorial positions to minimize repulsion,the $F-Xe-F$ bond angle is $180^{\circ}$,resulting in a linear molecular shape.
