(B) The diazo-coupling reaction is an electrophilic aromatic substitution reaction. The reactivity of the diazonium ion towards coupling depends on the electrophilicity of the diazonium cation. Greater electron-withdrawing character of the substituent on the benzene ring increases the electrophilicity of the diazonium group,thereby increasing the reactivity.
