(B) Near-sightedness, also known as $Myopia$, is a defect of vision in which a person can see nearby objects clearly but cannot see distant objects distinctly.In this condition, the image of a distant object is formed in front of the retina.To correct this defect, a $concave$ lens (also known as a $divergent$ lens) of a suitable focal length is used.This lens diverges the incoming light rays before they enter the eye, allowing the image to be focused exactly on the retina.
